SamW.28237 (Customer) asked a question.

OKTAfying O365 Distribution Lists | Transition to OKTA provisioned gropus

Hello!

I am attempting to transition already-made O365 Distribution lists into OKTA. Currently, I have the OKTA groups created and the users are added. But now I am trying to figure out how to link these groups in OKTA to the Distribution Lists in Office. I believe our team in the past was able to do this with various SharePoints, and now we would like to do this with our Distribution lists as well.

Any assistance/guidance would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi @SamW.28237 (Customer),

Thank you for posting on the Okta community page!

I have done some research regarding your inquiry and I have managed to find the below documentation where it seems that you can sync distribution lists if you have the Universal Sync option selected for provisioning.

Additionally, I assume that you could link the Okta groups by using the Push Group functionality but my recommendation would be to firstly try this integration in a preview environment to make sure that no issue will occur on the production one and that the users will not be impacted.
