Could not verify the Salesforce administrator credentials; please confirm that these are set correctly

We are facing problems provisioning new users between OKTA and Salesforce. When we click authenticate with Salesforce.com we get the below error.

    Hi @Amina Ismail (Customer),

    This same question has been asked here at least ones before. Take a look at this page for more information.

    HI Jani

    We had a look and it didn't solve our problem. One of your techs had an zoom session with us and provided the solution.

    Thanks

      Hi Amina,

      It will be highly appreciated if you can share the resolution for others to learn from.

      Thanks

    I'm facing the same issue. If people would share their resolution, this community would be helpful. Right now, it's only frustrating.

    @bftcz (bftcz),

    In our case it was the fact that we're missing the callback URL highlighted below. After we added this under the API - "Callback URL" section on the Salesforce side we saw the pop-up window where you'll enter the username/password combo and then the connection was successfully verified.
