Okta asks for Firstname and Lastname on first login even when the settings has it marked as Optional
Details
We set FirstName and LastName as not required fields in the directory profile editor and created users with empty first names and last names. However, on their first login, Okta asks them to enter their First name and Last name. Can this behavior be prevented by not asking them for Firstname and Lastname upon their login?

Based on the last screenshot, it looks like an application login flow. The attributes may not be required on a normal login page, however, if they sign into a specific app that requires those attributes to be mapped, that might be the reason why they are being prompted.
My suggestion would be to go to Profile editor - Users - Apps - Mappings and check if the firstname and lastname are mapped in that specific application. If so, check the Do not map option.
