u7n8v (u7n8v) asked a question.

Unable to update the termination date in Okta for a suspended user

The tenant has Workday integrated to Okta and the deprovisioning policy is set such that on termination on the app (WD), it will suspend the user in Okta. Real time sync is enabled and when an account gets terminated, the termination date has to get updated in Okta. The termination date in WD is mapped to the enddate in Okta but it is not getting populated. The RTS XML shows that the termination date is sent from WD but it is not getting updated in Okta.

Has anyone experienced this issue and how can it be resolved so that the date gets populated and then the account gets suspended.

  • Hi @u7n8v (u7n8v) , Thank you for reaching out to the Okta Community!

I've looked into this and from what I can tell, Okta will not update any deactivated/suspend user before the import or if the user was flagged to be deactivated/suspend during the import.
