tldv5 (tldv5) asked a question.
We’ve run into an issue with IDs having values under 1000 not being usable with SSH authentication. These IDs have various UID values, some under 1000, which means that SSH works in some places but not in others. PAM authentication prevents authentication for UID<1000.
Does this fall within the scope of the work you are doing to bring UIDs into Okta ASA? Specifically, I’m talking about making sure that the UID value for any given ID is the same across all servers.

Hello @tldv5 (tldv5) Thank you for reacting out to our Community!
It seems this would be expected behaviour as per :
"Do not set ID ranges that include UID values of 1000 and lower; these values are reserved for system use. Also, do not set an ID range that would include the 0 value; the SSSD service does not handle the 0 ID value."
