    I'm not sure I fully understand your use case, but the app's authentication flow would have to pass through Okta for the MFA to apply.  

    Okta would not be able to interpose an MFA solution in the authentication flow between an app and a different IDP (identity provider).

    Which means the process flow will be like > User click on Application > Okta MFA trigger > User accept the Okta MFA > Access granted to SP. Am I correct? In this case, who is doing the credential authentication when the user try to access the app?
