Greetings.
I am setting up the MSDSOnline application in Okta for a client. MSDSOnline only uses SWA.
After setting up the app and adding a few test users, the test users tried to click on the new MSDSOnline tile on their dashboard.
They installed the Okta Plugin, verified their credentials and were eventually able to login to the application.
The problem is after the first login, Okta creates a new tile for MSDSOnline instance on their dashboard that has the cached credentials of the user.
- Clicking on this new tile will push the user right through to MSDSOnline using the cached credentials.
- Clicking on the original tile will bring them to the login page, make them click on the Okta Plugin "1 click login" button, and then pass them through to the application.
Is this by design that SWA applications make a new icon after first login of the cached credentials for sign in?
I have been researching this and cannot find 1 article explaining this behavior. Youtube videos don't show this happening for other user who setup SWA applications.
Removing the user from "Assignments" tab for the application will remove the original MSDSOnlie okta tile, but not the newly created tile containing their cached credentials. The user would have to remove this themselves.
Thoughts? Has anyone else seen this? There are no options in Okta that explain this.

Some further research and I wonder if it's the plugin itself. I found this setting in the plugin from my browser:
I will try turning this off and test again.
Hello @latr8 (latr8) Thank you for reacting out to our Community!
Yes, that is the setting that is causing a second tile to appear on user's dashboard. When they access a website and the plugin asks them to save credentials, if they click yes an Okta tile will be added to the dashboard.
