Expire a user password using the Okta API - Temp password

Hi, We are using Okta workflow to reset new hires' password and send it to their personal email on the starting date.

 

Can anybody help me find out for how long the temp password is generated by Okta is active? Can they still log in the next day with the temp password?

    Hi Paulo Braga ,

    Since it is marked as a "expired password", an Okta temporary password never runs out. As soon as the user logs in using the temporary password, Okta will demand that they update it.

    I am asking this because some users are not resetting their password on the same day they receive the temporary password. So the question I have been asked is, what is the expiration time of the temporary password? 1 hour, 3 hours, 1 day?
