Adding a HRIS for synconrization after first using AD.
We'd like to first import into our universal directory our primary AD domain. At which point we'd then like to connect our HRIS system to begin user provisioning and un-provisioning/LCM flow.
What occurs when we do this and we have already existing users from AD? Do we simply marry them up to the existing users or...?
The worry is when switching to the HRIS system records get wiped out or messes with SSO components.

Thank you for posting on the Okta community page!
The users will retain the information coming from their source of truth, therefore if the users source of truth is set to be Active Directory, then when an import will occur from AD, the users profiles will be updated even though they were populated with different information from a different application.
