About MDM Linkage Functions

Hello.

I am doing an API investigation for a newly registered Okta Developer account to "link with MDM" and "validate Device Trust" (to determine whether sign-in is allowed or not on the condition that it is managed by MDM).

So I have two questions.

1. the environment we are using for the trial is the "Identity Engine" one.

Is it possible to use Device Trust?

https://help.okta.com/oie/en-us/Content/Topics/identity-engine/devices/dt-main.htm

2. is it possible to set okta's authentication policy to detect if a specific application (anti-virus software) is installed?

    Hi @iwamat.33352 (Customer),

Thank you for posting on the Okta community page!

Unfortunately, we cannot state if your trial tenant is entitled to use Device Trust therefore the best route to pursue would be to contact sales and ask them about the capabilities of a trial tenant and if the device trust functionality can be used.

Additionally, I have done some research about your second inquiry but I wasn't able to find a documentation that would confirm if this would be possible, therefore I would recommend to submit a feature request if you would like to see such functionality.

Once feature requests are submitted they are visible to other Okta admins, who can vote on them to provide more visibility. Using this method will allow you to maintain visibility on your feature requests throughout the process.
