servicea.28287 (Customer) asked a question.

Okta Org2Org

Hello, I have a couple questions about this feature:

1. Is it required that all orgs, including the Hub and Spokes, use the same version that is all should be OCE or OIE?

2. I came across this document: Org2Org Provisioning (okta.com)

If password sync is enabled, will all spokes users to whom I assign the org2org application have the same password throughout the Hub & spokes?

Hey @b5n6c (b5n6c) , Thank you for the clarification. Do you have any idea of my second question?

      • b5n6c (b5n6c)

        Hey Megha Rathod ,

If the initial status is set to Active with password or Pending with password, Okta will generate a temporary password for the user. If Okta Password Sync is enabled, this temporary password will be overwritten when the user signs in.

Sorry @b5n6c (b5n6c) but this doesn't answer my question. This is same from the docs. My question is after this integration, suppose , for my user in hub org the password is "xyz" so, will it be the same in the spoke org ?

      • b5n6c (b5n6c)

@Megha Rathod (Customer) Above mentioned statement is stating that, up on successful authentication temp password created by okta will overwritten with actual password. Simply user can use the 'xyz' password in spoke also .

    • Issac Brumer (Customer)

If you are syncing passwords via Org2Org from spokes to hub, each spoke will push updates (including passwords) to the hub whenever updates happen in the spokes.
