ixydo (ixydo) asked a question.

Cisco Duo MFA

We are currently having users access Salesforce through OKTA. Saleasforce is requiring it's users to enable MFA. Our users are already using DUO integrated with our VPN client. We don't want to bog them down with multiple Authenticators so want to go with DUO.

Currently OKTA MFA is enabled, I believe just for the ADMIN portal access. How can I verify if other applications are setup to use MFA? Is that any reporting or do I need to go check each application manually.

Also... I just want to confirm... we can only use one Factor Type at a time, correct?

Thanks

  • Hello @ixydo (ixydo)

    Thanks for posting.

1- How can I verify if other applications are setup to use MFA? Is that any reporting or do I need to go check each application manually.

An Okta admin can configure MFA at the organization or application level. If both levels are enabled, end users are prompted to confirm their credentials with factors when signing in to Okta and when accessing an application.

You can get an MFA report by going to Reports > Reports > MFA Usage

2- we can only use one Factor Type at a time, correct?

That is correct, all the MFA factors available are listed here: https://help.okta.com/en/prod/Content/Topics/Security/mfa/mfa-factors.htm

But you can choose only one of them at a time.

Let us know if this helps you.
