DavidR.32530 (Customer) asked a question.

How the enable SSO in an application integrated with Okta using API REST calls?

Hello everyone,

We have an application that we have integrated with Okta using API REST calls. So it basically authenticates a user by asking via HTML page his credentials and then validate those against Okta using authn endpoint.

However, we would like to enable SSO in this application and we have found that one way to validate if the user has an active session is using the Get Current Session endpoint. But we see in the documentation that in order to call this endpoint we need to provide an Okta session cookie. How this cookie can be generated?

In addition, if this is not the right approach please share with us another suggestion to achieve SSO on our application.

Kind regards,
