Unable to login to OKTA dashboard

Unable to login to OKTA dashboard with Admin account from Oracle virtual box. While trying to login I am getting this error "The Okta end-user dashboard has encountered an error. To continue using the dashboard, please make sure your system date and time are set correctly"

  • Hello @em77n (em77n),

This type of error may appear if the time is not syncing properly, you can use the steps below to verify if the app is properly synced.

    1. Log in to the Access Gateway Admin UI console.
    2. Select the Settings tab.
    3. Select Advanced.
    4. Verify that the time is correct.
    5. If the time is not correct, click Resync.
    6. Click the refresh button to refresh system time and verify that it is current.
    7. Test the application to determine if time is synchronized correctly.

You can verify this troubleshooting and more using the link below:

I have one user reporting this issue, as well. I don't utilize the Access Gateway in our environment. How does one fix this issue?

I'm having this same issue with users on classic identity, I do not use access gateway either. It seems after some time it resolves on it's own, but I keep getting tickets and would like to know a better resolution.

I have one user reporting this issue, as well. Using classic tenant not the Access Gateway. What is the resolution ?

One of my users was able to solve this by downloading the Okta browser extension.

    May be this helps someone:

I ran into the same issue when trying to run a transaction monitoring script from an appliance that could not connect to an ntp server due to a misconfigured firewall.

I was able to reproduce the issue by manually setting the date/time on my computer to a time that is about 30 minutes behind the current time.
