DominicM.64246 (Customer) asked a question.

The Response has an InResponseTo attribute which was not expected

We are using OKTA with AWS Opensearch. We are using SAML for SSO. We are getting an error when the users session times out, or if a user clicks logout and logs back in.

The error is:

[2021-12-01T02:57:27,667][ERROR][c.o.s.a.SamlResponse    ] [da6a195a939e1a2f7114aeb52b5f21e4] The Response has an InResponseTo attribute: ONELOGIN_5cda0be4-c2d4-4558-ade4-98697d68bc73 while no InResponseTo was expected

As I understand it, this attribute has been included in the request to AWS Openseach and its not expecting it. I have looked through the configuration but I cant see anything obvious. Can anyone help?

  • Hi,

    Bogdan here from Okta.

Since this would require further investigation on your use case, but also needs troubleshooting on your specific approach, I would highly recommend opening an Okta Support Ticket with the exact request you've added here, so that it will be redirected to the appropriate team on our side that will help you with more details on the application configuration.

    Please go to: https://support.okta.com/help/s/cases?language=en_US

And the Open a case, making sure you select the right product from the list.

Looking forward to getting your ticket and start working on this.

    Cheers,

Bogdan Albu ► Tier 2 Support Engineer.
