MattR.05280 (Customer) asked a question.

End users having to all reinstall OKTA Verify app

I worked with a user who has an android phone, we setup MFA and it was working. Reset her passwords etc. All great. until today. Now our service desk is getting TONS of users who apparently cannot VPN in with the okta verify phone app.

If we delete/re-add the app from their phone and re-link it then it works. How can i troubleshoot a fix for this or are other organizaitons experiencing this issue as well?

We are gathering data if its only android or also ios and whether a phone reboot has any affect.

    Hello @MattR.05280 (Customer) ,

    Thank you for posting!

Can you provide a more detailed explanation on what is the issue users are experiencing when connecting to the VPN? What VPN integration are you using? Have you tried resetting multifactor for the affected users instea of deleting/re-adding the app? You can refer to the following docuemntation for more detailed instructions on how to reset multifactor in your okta org: Reset MFA for end users

Let me know if the above helps.

    David at Okta
