AD and Azure for authentication redundancy

We are using Okta as a SAML SSO app portal and all Okta logins authenticate to our AD servers via Okta agent connectivity. Users are auto-provisioned into Okta, it in itself is never used to create new users. I am wondering if I could also add Azure as an additional authentication route, in case there were some systemic connectivity issues to the Okta agents on our servers? Since our Azure infrastructure is very different from the others, its likely they'd still be available even if our primary data center(s) were unreachable. I am imagining I could just install an agent on an Azure-based server but it'd be "easier/less maintenance" if I could do an Azure app connection.

    Hello Russell,

My name is Catalin. As your request will require a bit of investigation regarding your AD if it will be or not possible, I would suggest opening up a case with one of our Directories Support Engineers as they can provide you with all the information needed to achieve this integration and also to avoid any impediments.

    Thank you!
