Mobile Login Issues

Prompted to Reset Mobile PIN with every login

Every time I re-login (site name, username, password) I am prompted to redefine PIN. Can this be disabled so that the original/previous PIN remains active? If no, what is the purpose of the PIN if it needs to be constantly reset?

 

Accessing Okta from a mobile device seems a bit too complicated, especially for a mobile device that should allow for hands free. As example if logged in:

Launch Okta (authenticates via FaceID) -- OK, good.

Okta: Prompts for SMS Auth -- Not good as now needs hands of device (FaceID or TouchID would be better)

Okta: Send Code -- OK, but now gotta switch apps to retrieve code (and touching device)

SMS: Copy code or memorize, then switch back to Okta (more touching device)

Okta: Paste/type code, tap verify (more touching device)

 

If someone gets logged out, its ever more hands on and the original issue above about resetting of PIN.

 

Can't all the above be made to simply work with biometric (optionally for those who prefer a less touch interaction)?
