TristanM.48704 (Customer) asked a question.

Is there a way to enable MFA on existing Office365 account without Active Directory synchronization

Office 365 account is synchronized with an ADConnect I would like to enable MFA on Office 365 without synchronization with Active Directory. User will be created manually within Okta and assigned to Office 365 App with their right name.

When I trying this I got an error page from okta saying that user haven't an Active Directory account.

(All sounds good and Office 365 is assigned to user but user haven't an Active Directory account associated)

    Hi!,

I would first recommend creating a new ticket to further troubleshoot this issue with support. Initially, this issue is outstanding when the user assigned to the application does not have an ImmutableID in the user assignment. You can check in the user assignment to see if they have the attribute, and in case they are not, re-assigning the user should help to resolve the issue. Make sure the user already created in O365 has also the ImmutableID assigned.

If the issue persists, please raise a support ticket for further review.
