I have two types of applications: "lab" and "collection" services. I'll have multiple instances of each. Do I need a "lab" application for each instance (i.e. "lab-1", "lab-2", ... etc) with it's own application id and keys, or should all of the lab instances share a single application configuration?

Hi! I'm George from Okta Support.
You can create duplicate app instances, the way to go with this is written here:
https://help.okta.com/en/prod/Content/Topics/Provisioning/lcm/lcm-create-duplicate-app-instance.htm
But wouldn’t it be better to assign users to a group and then assign that group to multiple applications? Depending on the auth flow you’re using it might not be a good idea to use a single app for multiple instances.
If you have any other questions regarding this issue feel free to open a new ticket and I'll be more than happy to assist.
Have a great day!
