One admin account, multiple OktaSync phones

We have an account in Okta that is responsible for AD sync. I'd like other people to be able to log into it using the changing six-digit code in Okta Verify on their phones as a second factor. How do I add another phone without getting rid of the existing ones?

I believe it's one device per user so you're above situation is possible. However, if you have SMS enabled for MFA and you're telephone/VoIP provider allows/supports text messages, you could use that as a solution. We do that for shared admin accounts in other apps - a Ring Central number that is tied to a DL.

Perhaps someone will weigh in if there is another work around.

I agree I think you can only do one device per user with Okta Verify. For server engineering teams we used to rotate an in call number and could register MFA with that. You may also be able to enable Fido and use a tool like Last Pass Authenticator which allows you to backup and restore the MFA settings between devices. Example my iPad and iPhone have the same information in Authenticator. It also may be possible using Google Authenticator.

    Hope this helps,

    Anthony
