Hi,
I am a new user and I am having difficulties understanding how this works, I won't mind a walkthrough on how to sign in to Okta and then launch any of your web apps without having to reenter your credentials, I have been on this case for a week and if I don't understand the basics, the CEO might not want to proceed with it.

Do you have an Okta sales or pre-sales person you work with? They should be able to explain the fundamentals to you.
The fundamentals of Single Sign On (SSO) are that Okta can do simple things like pass along credentials (username and password) to other systems to log you into them, but more importantly it also supports protocols that don't pass along those credentials (more secure) but instead pass along an assertion that a person has signed in and authenticated which means they don't need to do it again.
I'd recommend:
