JamesN.83470 (Customer) asked a question.
I've gone through the tutorials for creating unique usernames, but it seems to never even fire. Our users are managed and mastered via Workday, and we currently have to manually check the import daily to look for users that failed to provision due to duplicated username. I would like some mechanism for automating the resolution of conflicts.

Hello @JamesN.83470 (Customer) ,
I've escalated your question to our Customer Support team. They will respond to you shortly here.
Thanks!

Hello James,
At this point, we would need a bit more detail in order to understand exactly what is happening, so that we may decide whether we're looking at a fix or an enhancement, that would be required here.
As such, I would strongly recommend raising a support ticket with us, and me or one of my colleagues will be more than glad to assist you.
Thank you,

I’m working off the template in our preview environment – which uses the user import inline hook. I got it firing, and it appears to generate the unique username and email by appending a digit to the end, but it doesn’t resolve the conflict – in the import I see the proper values on the left, but on the right hand side, it shows the username and email without the digit and states that creating the account would create a conflict. Also, I’ve raised this to support in the past and they were quick to tell me it was beyond the bounds of what support could assist with and would require a PS engagement, which we don’t have in our budget at this point.
Hi Stefan -- any update on how to tackle this? We're a large company and identity duplication is a pretty big headache that gums up our identity lifecycle. I have high hopes that this could resolve it if we can get it working properly.
any luck on this?
