How to import Service Provider metadata and configure it in Identity Provider

I need to import the SP metadata and configure IDP so I can create a SAML setup.

I cannot find the document for this procedure. Any help is appreciated.

I don't believe you can. You'll have to parse the XML file and copy/paste the data into Okta.

  • Just open the SP Metadata and take the EntityID and paste it in the Audience section of the app and take the AssertionConsumerService URL from your metadata and paste it in Single Sign on URL section.

    Thanks for the response.

One another question, can AssertionConsumerService URL and Single Sign on URL be the same?
