bl1yt (bl1yt) asked a question.

Can we integrate JIRA Datacenter with Okta?

We are currently using Active Directory for the user management in our JIRA Datacenter application. Our organization has moved to OKTA SSO for all other applications and now it has to be configured for JIRA DC also.

Can we integrate JIRA Datacenter with Okta? If yes, can we know the procedure / knowledge base articles regarding the same?

Thanks,

Suprija

JIRA Datacenter does support SAML as the external Identity provider. You can very well integrate this with OKTA for SSO. Check with your vendor for more information regarding metadata.

Integration with OKTA is similar to any other SAML application integration. But your vendor can specify if they need any specific attribute inside the SAML assertion. you may need to coordinate with the JIRA vendor for information.
