MFA SMS result validation
Hi guys
We are using SMS for the MFA factor. Just want to check whether Okta is getting SMS results from thier SMS providers (Telesign or Twilio). We are doing the migration of users from old platform and not sure whether mobile numbers are correct. We did the testing for the user with wrong mobile number, but I can't find any logs that mobile is wrong. Only success logs - see picture:
The testing is done on the Okta Preview tenant.

I think the log represents that an SMS sending it triggered to the mobile number specified.
It doesn't check if the SMS is actually delivered.

It is understandable, but my question relates whether Okta has the integration with SMS Gateway for bounced back.

AFAIK, Okta doesn't validate if the SMS is actually delivered to the specified mobile number or bounced back.
I don't believe so. As Priti said, we get a transaction ID and status that the SMS is sent, and of course we can tell if and when the user's authentication is complete. But there isn't any integration back to log that an SMS attempt from one of the providers bounced.
