disabling delegated authentication

Hello,

I am task with doing a password migration from AD to Okta. I know that once i disable delegated auth that it will reset all users passwords and send out emails to users to set their passwords. But I am curious if they will prompt with any thing if they go to Okta first and not their email. Will they the be prompt to reset at the okta login? Or do you have to go to the email first?

I ask because we have gmail behind okta so they wouldn't be able to get into gmail if they can't get into okta or if we change our security settings in google.

Thank you,

Similar boat - looking to disable due to the complications of managing AD password resets with remote workforce.

Curious about the answer to this question + any feedback on user experience from folks who've done this recently.

We're in the exact same boat with Office 365, we made the mistake of opting into delegated auth a couple years ago and have been struggling ever since. Currently testing LDAP as a directory to see if its possible to leverage the password reset features available there.

Hi @8g9ur (8g9ur) , can you please brief on the kind of complications you are having after DelAuth. We have just opted for it and the first problem I see is with the Activation email which doesn't let a user a password for itself.

So, it would really be helpful to know what else can we expect from DelAuth so that we can think of rolling it back, if needed.
