xs7c6 (xs7c6) asked a question.

how to obtain okta metadata

We need metadata of OKTA to configure it as an IDP in Azure AD. Kindly let me know the process to obtain the OKTA metadata.

*NOTE : We don't need OKTA IDP metadata obtained through app onboarding.

That's the only option to download the metadata. why do you think that the metadata will change ?

    This is how I do:

Go to Applications, click on the required app, go to the Sign On tab. If the app is SAML supported, under view setup instructions, I see a link which says Identity Provider metadata. Open that link in a new tab to see the metadata URL.

Sandeep is correct. The IdP information that Azure AD requires (from Okta) is the metadata from the Okta app that you create to integrate your Okta org with your Azure AD instance. For SAML integrations, the metadata usually consists of three pieces of information - the sign-in and issuer URLs (which are specific to this app) and the public cert for your org, which will allow Azure AD to verify the authenticity of the assertions your users present during login.

I added a SAML appl in Okta and cannot see the link which says Identity Provider metadata. I was looking for this link in the Sign On tab. All I can see in the Sign On tab is Rule Policy. Do I need to upgrade my 'free' account before the Identity Provide metatdata is visible?
