Okta RDP MFA thinks machine is not joined the a domain

We've been working on getting Okta RDP MFA rolled out to user machines and one of the issues we are having is that users need to enter the domain before their username. The log shows error " Host not joined to Domain, hostname being returned " and then Domain Name = (machine name) . The machine settings show the machine is part of the domain .

I have tried to set the assigned default logon domain in Group Policy and it didn't help.

    Hi Patrick,

Its difficult to figure out what is going wrong, but I can suggest to try out the following.

    • Check the connectivity between OKTA RDP agent & OKTA org.
    • is there any proxy server in between the Okta RDP agent & org ?
    • Check the logs for detailed error may be that can give some hint.
