s25c5 (s25c5) asked a question.

Radius app configuration - multiple apps

Hello.

I must configure multiple apps to authenticate against a single Radius agent server against the same tenant. If I´m right, I must configure the application to listen to different ports and shared keys in the Okta´s sign on tab.

As for the agent itself I only seem to find a way to register to the tenant and to write listening port once, in the installation. So, how does agent know he must listen on the other application´s port?

Regards

Thank you for contacting Okta support. My name is Traian and I will be handling this case.

    To answer your question :

When first setting up the port for the RADIUS agent and configuring the app, communications between the agent and the app are initiated.

RADIUS Agent v2.5.0 and higher adds the ability to support multiple ports simultaneously and uses an app-based model in the Okta admin interface.

This means that the agent will retrieve all the informations required from the app, port number, shared secret, and OTP-only configuration.

Therefore, there is no need for setting up the port on the RADIUS server for secondary applications.
