We have users signing into SharePoint 2016. When they try and export a SharePoint list to Excel they get a an error "Cannot connect to the server at this time. Changes to your data cannot be saved". If they connect to the same site using NTLM authentication then they can export to Excel. Is this functionality possible with Okta auth? or do they just have to use the NTLM URL if they want to export to Excel? thanks

Hello Ryan,
Looking into the matter, I was not able to find any similar issues on our side, but was able to find a few articles on the O365 side, which makes me think that probably the matter is not strictly related to the Okta integration in itself:

Nonetheless, I would recommend reaching out to Microsoft to obtain their insight on the matter, and if needed, please do not hesitate to open a support ticket with us, should Okta-sided insight be required.

Hi, this isn't O365, it is SharePoint on-prem. I since been able to get access and do some testing myself. The issue appears to occur intermittently so I think it is more likely down to load balancing or proxy. Interestingly it never occurs on the web app with NTLM authentication though. Thanks for the response.
