s6clx (s6clx) asked a question.

Okta and Windows Server Storage 2016 Standard

We're currently an Okta-only shop. So no AD on premise or anything like that.

We have a Windows Server Storage 2016 Standard box, and it works great for the local share. But now we're looking to use Okta's directory for permissions on the shares, and so on.

I've tried the Okta AD agent, but since we don't have a domain controller / domain that doesn't install.

Attempted to use ADSI / LDP, but couldn't force that to work; I may have had something wrong though.

Tried the Okta LDAP plugin, but again having problems with what's happening here.

Anyone have experience in how to get the two to work together? It seems like it should be easy, but I guess this is somewhat non-standard and I must just be missing something simple. Any guides out there?
