Can I use the Okta UD LDAP endpoint for searchable Contacts app and not just authentication?
I was asked by staff if the LDAP endpoint we have for our Universal Directory can be configured to work with email clients and things like the Mac OS X Address Book which supports LDAP servers as a source of directory/user information.
Basically we lack a good directory of our staff that can be searched to find email addresses, contact phone numbers etc. and internally we are wondering if we can use Okta LDAP for this.
All the tech docs I can find on Okta LDAP center entirely around user authentication - not generic use of LDAP as a directory
