Query about new OS and Browser Support Policy

Greetings to All,

I was going through the new OS and Browser support policy recently in OKTA Help center, saw that the Current Versions Supported are updated as Windows 8 and 10. What happens for the Windows 7 machines? Was there any workaround to get them compatible? Considering the time window Jan 1st 2020 and the number of Win 7 machines we have in our environment, I think a workaround would be helpful. I'm sure this would be the case on many organizations too

It's unfortunate that your organization still has Windows 7 machines in production, but I don't think it's reasonable to expect Okta to keep supporting an OS that even the manufacturer will no longer support. Microsoft's mainstream support for Windows 7 ended in 2015, and extended support ends one week from today (on January 14, 2020 - https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/windows/end-of-windows-7-support).

Of course, Okta won't officially support your Windows 7 machines, but that doesn't mean everything will stop working immediately. Best of luck to you!
