ArunM.23291 (Customer) asked a question.

Office 365 login error for few okta users

import of office365 user is successful and matching & confirming the user with local okta user also done and ensured the immutable ID is same on okta user and Office 365 user. User is assigned to this O365 app but still getting "Office 365 Login Failure,

Your account has not been configured for this application"

    Hi Arun

Apart from Molly's suggestion (a very good one), I would check the licensing on O365 Admin Portal since you are stating that ImmutableID integrity/pushing/mapping is fine and is most common topic referred as possible root cause of your issue.

From my side, I would recommend you the following:

    • Check Okta logs and try determine any issue on the standard event records patterns of user login and app access
    • Get traces of OAuth traffic between IdP and SP
    • Clarify licensing management actor(s)
    • Clarify data/attribute mapping flow
    • Clarify Roles of Okta and O365 for each aspect (source of data, mappings, transformations, lifecycle, etc.)

Feel free to request further inputs, suggestions or support.

    Best regards.

    Hi Arun

    Few more hints for you:

    • How are you performing the O365 App assignment per App or just the Office Portal?
    • Are/Is displayed the O365 tile(s) on Okta User Homepage?
    • Are they performing IdP-Initiated or SP-Initiated attempts?

Feel free to request further inputs, suggestions or support.

    Best regards.

      1. Office portal is assigned for the users
      2. Yes, all the O365 app tiles are showing in user home page
      3. Both we tried; iDp & SP initiated login for user but of no luck
