SteveF.58753 (Customer) asked a question.

O365 User identity source changes to Windows Server AD from Azure Active Directory

Hi, I am trying to setup SSO for O365. I followed the setup guide and have noticed that as soon as I add a user into OKTA their user identity source in Azure AD changes to Windows Server AD. Will it ever change back to Azure Active Directory even when I have deleted the user and application from OKTA?

The integration did not work as I was receiving a AADSTS50107: Requested federation realm object 'xxx' does not exist error.

Any advice on either?

Thanks.

  • Hi Steve,

I suggest creating a case with our technical support team. They'll be happy to take a look at your configuration and help troubleshoot the issue.

Steve did you ever get an answer to this? We just had the exact same thing happen and Okta told me to reach out to Microsoft to see if our AD sync tool was still running, which I know it isn't. Now we have users that say AD Server and I can't make any changes to them via Office 365. Some of the proxy email addresses got removed for the users that got flipped. So now I have to turn on universal sync and make sure all the profiles are correct in AD. Thanks!
