Error during Okta Cert Install on Mac. "Could not add-generic-password"

Our Jamf script has installed the Okta cert successfully on 50+ other devices.

 

It's just this one user.Script result: Okta Device Trust returning ERROR.INFO: Registering trusted device with Okta, for user :xyzzy<br/>INFO: Using home directory : /Users/xyz<br/>INFO: Configuring Okta keychain.<br/>INFO: Creating new keychain.<br/>INFO: Okta keychain added to the keychain search list.<br/>ERROR: Could not add-generic-password. Return status : 45<br/>ERROR: Failed to configure Keychain!!

    Thank you for reaching out to Okta Support, my name is Stefan and I'll be handling your case.

    A possible reason would be if the script is not able to clean the keychain properly therefore it is getting and error configuring it.

    You can try the following steps to clear the keychain then run the script again:

     

    -Open Keychain Access, which is in the Utilities folder within the Applications folder.

    -From the Keychain Access menu, choose Preferences.

    -Click General, then click Reset My Default Keychain.

    -Authenticate with your account login password.

    -Quit Keychain Access then Restart your computer.

     

    If this does not solve your problem ,please open a ticket with Okta Support so we can further investigate this.
