I think this should be under Universal Directory but if it’s better moved elsewhere please advise.
We capture all employee’s Manager during provisioning and as an attribute in Okta. We’ve noted that the field will not sync over to O365.
We don’t have on-premise AD and hope to keep it that way as all endpoints are treated as BYOD.
I’m wondering if there’s a way to sync the Manager or Manager ID attribute from Okta over to O365 (or however we’d need to in order to use that info through Azure to develop org. charts and allow employees to see this info through the GAL.
Has as anyone been successful in doing this without on-premise AD?
thanks in advance. Inherited what i believe is a great IAM solution but haven’t had time to dig into training or more advanced settings.

Yes, you need to enable the API so Okta can update the user attributes.
or use AAD connect on the AD side as both can update users. neither needs to be onsite just have cloud access.
