fagiz (fagiz) asked a question.

Restricting client credentials to a single authorization server

We are creating two custom authorization servers; one for our test environment, and one for our production environment. Is there a way to restrict a client credentials application to just one of these authorization servers?

  • Hi, Ian! This is Tudor, with Okta Support. Indeed, you can restrict a client credential application to specific applications when adding a New Access Policy. If you need further assistance, please don't hesitate to contact us.

After investigating further, it seems that when setting up policy rules for an authorization server, one can choose to only allow certain applications. So while I cannot restrict a client credential application to only some auth servers, I can do the reverse, which amounts to the same thing :).
