JoonhoS.80785 (Customer) asked a question.

Namely (Preferred Name) -> Okta -> Gsuite (First Name)

Namely is our source of truth for users and I'm trying to pull the Preferred Name value from it into Okta. Can I create a custom attribute that can be matched to the Preferred Name field and then used as the sync source for the First Name attribute in Gsuite?

Yep, you'd create a custom attribute in Okta, setup mapping from the Namely attribute to the newly created Okta attribute. Then you create a another mapping in the Gsuite integration (assuming you have that already setup for Okta to write to Gsuite) from the new Okta attribute to whichever Gsuite attrib you want it to write to.

Ok I think I found out the root cause of my issue. The Preferred Name field in Namely is actually Nickname.

      Sure. My pleasure.
