So how does Okta MFA windows credential provide work with Azure VMs that are joined to an Azure AD DS ?

Can you expand on this question? Is there something unique about a VM in Azure that is preventing you from using the Windows Credential Provider?

So, an Azure VM is only accessible via RDP, there is no possibilites for a clean console access.
At the moment i have problems with the MFA with the Windows Credential Provider which basically has locked me out from the VM permanently. I have a support case open with you guys but the help i have gotten so far is only on a first line support type.
What I'm really asking you is - Do you support MFA RDP with Windows Credential Provider on an Azure VM due to the possibilites of being permanently locked out? What technical possibilities do i have with Okta +MFA RDP and the WCP to undo this "locked out" state?
From my understanding the WCP is better suited for a physical computer in an on-prem situation due to the fact that then i can login locally on the VM and restore any malfunctioning configuration.
If there is another more suitable solution to provide MFA over RDP for my Okta users when connecting to an Azure VM (over internet) i would certainly appreciate any help
