Reset Administrator password

Hi there!

 

I am facing very strange issue - since 24.10 I am not able to login as any of 2 of my Administrator's accounts. One of the accounts is AD-managed, so I could suspect some AD activity that could deactivate it. But the other is simply OKTA - managed but the login doesn't work still.

I cannot login as Admin to open a Case to reset my password.

 

How can I go around it?

 


  • While it's ideal to open a case in the Okta Help Center, allowing you to better manage your cases, you can also open a case by simply emailing support@okta.com or calling 1-800-219-0964. There are many reasons why an your admin accounts are unable to login, some of which may require direct assistance from Okta Support to resolve. Below are some examples:

     

    • A sign on policy was configured that denied the admins access.
    • Password has expired.
    • Account was inadvertently deactivated.
    • Account has been locked from too many failed logins.
    • Admin account is associated with AD, and an issue with the AD Agent has occurred preventing login. (Okta recommends always having at least one Okta mastered admin account.)
