  • Hi Erik,

Okta does have similar functionalities, Okta can provide Single Sign On on almost any on-cloud and on-premises applications using the Okta Plugin which stores passwords in an encrypted format.

But it does not store local passwords, e.g. Active Directory Passwords.

More information about the Okta Plugin on this KB

    https://help.okta.com/en/prod/Content/Topics/Apps/Apps_Browser_Plugin.htm

The Okta browser plugin enables you to automatically sign into applications that would otherwise require you to manually enter your credentials (e.g., applications that do not support SAML or a direct form POST to a URL). Using the plugin enables you to use SSO for a broader range of applications.

Okta provides Single Sign On using SWA (Secure Web Authentication) using the Okta Plugin, SAML,WS-FED and OpenID Connect to connect with thousands of applications using stored password (encrypted) or federation (SAML etc.)

    Have a great day!
