tgjcn (tgjcn) asked a question.

Can you unpair a device using the Okta Verify mobile app?

Just wondering if it's possible to unpair a device using the Okta Verify mobile app. I know it can be done via the user's profile while logged into the Okta web interface, but wondering if the user can do the same from the Okta verify app. Thanks.

  • Hello,

In order to remove an account attached to a device's Okta Verify app, you will need to go into the app itself, find the specific account, click the three-dotted button next to the account, and use the Delete function in the menu that will open.

If the above does not suffice your inquiry, please feel free to open a support ticket with us, and me or one of my colleagues will be more than glad to assist!

    Thank You,

Can you send me a screenshot of that ? I opened a case, and the tech indicated it couldn’t be unpaired from the Okta Verify app... at least that was my understanding.

How can I remove an old phone from okta? I went to your support site and it says you will need to go into the app itself, find the specific account, click the three-dotted button next to the account, and use the Delete function in the menu that will open. I am not able to do this. When I open the app it just brings up the camera to scan code or no barcode at the bottom. I don't have a code. Can you help me fix this?
