Office 365 Distribution Groups creating Okta Groups.

Hey!

So I've recently been tasked with making the best use out of our Okta deployment. I'm taking a look at our Okta Groups and hoping to organize/clean up the area to really leverage that feature to our benefit.

However, I've noticed that our Distribution Lists are provisioning matching Okta groups even though we use our on-premise Active Directory as a Master. We work in a Hybrid Environment where we use cloud mailboxes and on-premise AD, so I'm wondering how/where Okta is provisioning these from and where I can stop further provisioning and remove the current ones.

Okta Push Groups exist for some apps. Find it here:

    1. From your Okta Admin console, select Applications [menu]

    2. Click on O365

    2. From the O365 Application page, choose Push Groups [menu]

    Hope that helps!

Unfortunately we don't have any push groups for Office 365. They are coming from somewhere else.

If you are in a hybrid environment, you are probably using DirSync and that is where the AD groups are being pushed from.
