Remove a user added application?
I've been learning Okta through self-paced training and hands on trial usage.  One thing I've been struggling with is using the admin account to remove a user added application.  I've found the area that allows you to work with active/inactive applications, but none appear.

I've also tried the self service application area.  The application in question is visible there, but I (as admin) cannot do anything with it.

Is it possible to remove user added applications as an admin?  If so, how?

Thanks in advance for any assistance!

    Hey James,

As of now there is no way to remove user-added applications as an Okta Admin. The only control you do have is what applications your users can add. The scope of what those applications are can be modified within the Applications -> Self Service -> Settings tab.

The same goes for what we call on-the-fly applications. Those on-the-fly apps are also listed in the User Added Applications box. Currently we can only turn this on-the-fly feature flag on/off for your entire organization.

This could most certainly be a feature request! Please let me know if you have any other questions.

If you know the application id you can use the API to do that. (Remove user from app)

Agreed there should be an easier way to do this, but at least it is possible to remove on the fly or user added apps from their dashboard.

Having the same issue 3 years after this post? How is this not a normal feature yet?
