Are there change logs for application updates by admins?
Is there anywhere ((in the system logs or elsewhere) that admins can view changes to applications made by other admins? The application.lifecycle.update doesn't seem to have that information, but it seems like something that has to be kept somewhere for tracking reasons...

  • Hi Jessica,

It may be possible for our Support team to check the backend logs for the application.lifecycle.update event as the backend logs provide us more informaiton. I'd recommend submitting a support ticket to have a member of the support team look into this. Please also note that the logging may only reveal that the app was updated and not the specific change made.

I would like to suggest that it is a basic security logging principle that any and all actions taken by an administrator should be logged.  Very surprised that I find many comments about this and yet no commitment from okta to develop this logging.

Not to mention the Reporting tab in the Admin console is extremely limited.  There is no way that I can see build your own report.  Only some canned stuff.  And even within those there is little you can do to sort and filter beyond what is canned for you.

Would love an update from Okta regarding this!
