I am not sure where specifically they get their time from and couldn't find specific documentation either. Then again, I've never had a time related issue with Okta. Is there something time related that is giving you an issue, or is this a "general knowledge" question?

I wish I could find an answer for you. Okta hasn't minded in the past when I send them an email with questions like this. Have you tried contacting them directly?
