izw7x (izw7x) asked a question.

Okta browser plugin has any built in MDM capabilities?
if I don't purchase OMM, will the policies work in preventing users from launching the application if they access it from an Android/iPhone? If it does, will the policy work for both SAML-enabled and SWA applications?

  • Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to Okta Support.

User can acces OKta from their phone.

You can add to your org trusted zones. Then create sign on policy rule that will deny their acces outtside the trusted zone so they can't acces the account.

Please feel free to contact us an  open a case if you need further assistance.

Does this mean users will be able to access all the applications from mobile even if OMM is not enabled/purchased?

    Also,

I came to know that okta has an okta mobile safari extension where users will be able to open applications without signing into okta mobile.

The question is will they still be able to access app via extension if OMM is not purchased. Also,if there is anything for chrome as well?
