oktaa.15975 (Customer) asked a question.

Is there a way to backup all of the group rules, AD integrations, mappings and application settings in Okta? This would be useful for moving between preview and production as well as giving you the ability to have a backup of important configurations.

  • Hi, at the momment we do not ahve a feature that backs up configurations because of the unique ID generated when the element is created. You can submit a feature request under the Ideas section of the Okta community portal.A common practice is to have a word document + screenshot of these elements.

    Thank you!

    I like this idea.  +1

Beging able to export Okta configuration would allow us to implement ITIL & DevOps inspired change controls.  As we move to make Okta our single centralized authenticator those change controls will be more and more important.

Is this still not a feature?  Is there truly no other way to "backup" configurations other than screenshots and notes?
